I have released a new set of patches to add context
quota support to the linux kernel ...
you can find them at http://www.13thfloor.at/VServer/
I would really appreciate, if everybody who has some
kind of vserver development system could aid in
testing them ...
What has to be done (for testing):
- developing some test scenarios regarding access
control (permissions across contexts)
- testing the "automatic" context-0 to context-N
migration (within a virtual server)
- scenarios and tests for the various access
limitations/overrides
What still isn't finished:
- support for filesystems other than ext2/ext3
(this will be easy ...)
- quota, quotaon/off modifications to actually
check/enforce the quota (userspace)
- additional tools to modify context information
(although it should already be possible to
do this with chown in context 0)
Jack, maybe you find some time to look at the
2.4.20pre11 patches (especially at the kernel/exit.c
reaping stuff) and verify that they are equivalent
to the 2.4.19 patches (for CTX-14 only)
best,
Herbert
