The packages have been published via our APT repository in the
centos4-vps section.
You can browse it thru http://naturidentisch.de/packages/ .

Direct links to the latest versions:
http://naturidentisch.de/packages/centos4-vps/vps-dev/vps-dev-3.999-3.cru.noarch.rpm
http://naturidentisch.de/packages/centos4-vps/vps-fake/vps-fakekernel-2.6.999-2.cru.noarch.rpm
http://naturidentisch.de/packages/centos4-vps/vps-fake/vps-fakepackages-1.0-4.cru.noarch.rpm

As there is no binary code packaged, they all are architecture and
library independent.
They should fit into any Linux 2.6 distribution with RedHat package
naming, at least CentOS 4, RHEL 4, Fedora Core 4, Fedora Core 3.
I could also create a fc4-vps section...

If you still want to re"compile" or i.e. change dependency information,
SRPMs are stored in the same directories.

I reworked the packages to make extensive use of the Obsoletes
directive, so "cleaning up" a fresh vserver is as easy as simply
"upgrading" to my packages above:

-(root@radon:2)-(6 files:80K@~)-(0 jobs)-(16:09)-
-(~:#)-> du -sh /vservers/centos4
116M /vservers/centos4

-(root@radon:2)-(6 files:80K@~)-(0 jobs)-(16:09)-
-(~:#)-> vrpm centos4 -- -Uhv inst/vps-{dev,fakekernel,fakepackages}-*
Preparing... ################################# [100%]
   1:vps-fakepackages ################################# [ 33%]
This package is to be installed for a VPS though the host server only.
Running this command from the host: vrpm <vservername> -- -Uhv <vps-dev RPM>
   2:vps-dev ################################# [ 67%]
   3:vps-fakekernel ################################# [100%]

-(root@radon:2)-(6 files:80K@~)-(0 jobs)-(16:10)-
-(~:#)-> du -sh /vservers/centos4
84M /vservers/centos4

Although this feature is top in convinience, I am not sure about it, as
someone could still need to use the packages that are uninstalled in some
rare cases...
Maybe it would be better so create single packages for replacing the real
ones.

With best regards,
// Veit
