Tested on 2 different vservers on the same machine same results.
Also tried with 3.23.52 of MySQL and then I get a segmentation fault
after I get the
030302 18:30:32 mysqld restarted
030302 18:30:32 Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use
030302 18:30:32 Do you already have another mysqld server running on port: 3306 ?
030302 18:30:32 Aborting
030302 18:30:32 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Shutdown Complete
030302 18:30:32 mysqld ended
error log message.
This is after a cleanly booted system.
As well in the virtual server I binded the ip of the mysql server to
the virtual servers primary IP.
The same symptoms exist on kernel 2.4.20ctx-16. Only difference is
that I do not have to kill any remaining mysql servers that are hung
with 3.23.52.
Anyone any ideas ??
