web accessible/searchable archives would be useful but I'd settle for mail accessible archives
too ( something in the lines of ezmlm-idx )

I'm on the other end of the globe.
I could organize hosting mail archives and/or mailing list on one of our servers down under,
but considering that most people on this list live in western/northern hemisphere, it wouldn't be
efficient, so something hosted in Europe or US would be more appropriate.
